Miami-Dade County Marinas and Boat Launches Closed Until Further Notice

New exceptions have been made, such as ferries that move people between the islands, folks who live on their boats and need to disembark at marinas to get supplies before returning to their boats, among others.

MIAMI (March 23, 2020) — Miami-Dade County is under a state of emergency as it deals with the public health threat of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Pursuant to the emergency order signed by Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez on March 21, 2020, marinas and boat launches, docking, fueling, marine supply and other marina services in the incorporated and unincorporated areas of Miami-Dade County have been closed effective 11:59 p.m., March 21, 2020. Charter fishing fleet services have been closed as well.

The following exceptions may be allowed to enter and use Miami-Dade County owned or operated marinas: people with a commercial saltwater license issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, for commercial fishing purposes only; support patrol, enforcement, and rescue activity by federal, state and local government agencies; boats or ferries in support of PortMiami or Fisher Island operations;  people living aboard their vessels;  people returning to the United States from international voyages; and  people needing to remove their vessel from the water or to perform emergency maintenance on a vessel, marinas, fueling stations, and marine supply services.

The above actions are being implemented in an abundance of caution as the health and safety of residents and visitors are of the utmost importance.
Marina patrons with existing contracts can access their vessels but are not permitted to disembark from the marinas.

Miami-Dade County Parks is strictly following all requirements, procedures and protocols as outlined through the Mayor’s office, which is providing real-time updates through its regular communication with the CDC as well as the Florida Department of Health. For updates please monitor the County’s website, www.miamidade.gov/coronavirus.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
